What is a vendor?
A vendor is a store, retail business or restaurant that agrees to sell Scrip.

What types of vendors are involved?
Department stores, drug stores and health retailers, grocery stores, auto supply stores and automotive centers, specialty shops, restaurants, and fun and travel businesses. Check out the hundreds of vendors available.

Is there an easy way to find a vendor on the vendor list?
All vendors are listed alphabetical within a category. The list is organized into retail stores, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, Weaver West luggage, travel and lodging, and other Scrip providers.

What is an example of Scrip purchase and earnings?
Let’s say you wish to purchase a $20 gift certificate from the Amish Door Restaurant. You prepay $20. The Scrip program purchases the certificate at a 20% discount rate for $16. The $4 discount is split 70%/30% between you and the school. Your earnings on this single purchase would be $2.80. The school would earn $1.20 for expenses and Scrip inventory purchases. How do I order Scrip?
It’s easy! After you enroll, choose businesses where you plan to shop. Fill out the blue order form, or download an order form. Write in the vendor name, denomination and quantity for each purchase. Send payment (check preferred) with your order. Your Scrip will be available for delivery or pick up at the end of each school week. Watch the weekly newsletter for order dates.

Can my child bring an order to school?

Is there a certain day and time to order?
Order day is the first day of any week that contains at least four school days. Generally, the order is due on Monday. Orders must be received by 8:30 a.m. on the order day. Summer order dates will be announced in the spring.

Can I place an order ahead of the deadline?
Sure, order forms are welcome ahead of the deadline. Your check will not be cashed until the deadline day.

Can I use a credit card or debit card?
No, credit card company fees and charges would take a significant portion of the discount savings for Scrip purchases. All purchases need to be prepaid with check or cash.

Is there a minimum purchase?
No, any order will be processed. However, you may only order the denominations available.

Do I need to return my envelope with each order?
Yes, your first Scrip order will be returned to you in a red string-tie envelope. Use the blank order form and vendor list to complete your next order. Return the order form and payment in the red order envelope.

How do I receive my Scrip?
Most Scrip is delivered home with Central student couriers. Each member chooses the method of distribution which best fits their need. Options include student couriers, school office pickup, or mail delivery.

What is a student courier?
Any CCS student can return order forms to the school and deliver filled Scrip orders back to you if the proper paperwork is complete. A waiver of release form with signatures of both the member and student courier are required before any filled Scrip order is distributed through this method. Since Scrip is the same as cash, discuss with your courier the importance of taking precaution with Scrip envelopes until delivery is complete.
