SCRIP EARNING QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
How do I receive my earnings?
Each quarter you will receive a statement of earnings. At that time you can decide if you want your earnings to be applied to the tuition bill or to pay a specific fee. Another option is to roll the earnings over for another quarter. However, all earnings must be applied to a school account at the end of a school year (with the exception of prospective family earnings).

When do I receive a statement of earnings?
Quarterly statements will be sent at the end of November, February, May, and August.

Why don’t I just get a rebate check?
This program is available only to nonprofit groups as a method to raise revenue for that organization. In the case of Central Christian, the revenue being raised is to help parents with their tuition and fees. Earnings, therefore, cannot be passed on to you in the form of a rebate. All earnings must be applied to a school account.

What can my Scrip earnings be used for?
Families may choose to apply their account earnings to tuition or school fees on a quarterly basis. No money will be distributed directly back to any purchaser.

I have a relative who attends Central. Can my earnings help them?
Yes. This is a great way for grandparents and extended families to help with tuition costs. Several grandparents and extended families are already enrolled. Simply indicate on the enrollment form that you wish to credit your account earnings to a specific Central family.

Is the Scrip program available to me if I don’t know any Central students?
Yes, there is an option to designate your earnings for the Menno Simons Grant (tuition scholarships), for tuition reduction for a partnership church, or for a prospective family.

What is the Church Partnership Plan?
A church committed to supporting Christian education and in doing so agrees to cover the cost of tuition for the families of their congregation who desire a Christian education.

Is there a way to give my church credit for my earnings since I pay tuition through the church partnership plan?
Yes. Be sure your church is part of the church partnership plan. On the enrollment form, simply check the church partnership option, and fill in the church name.

What is the Menno Simons Grant?
The Menno Simons Grant aids families who would like a Christian education and need assistance to pay the tuition. A Menno Simons Grant can cover up to 75% of tuition. Applications are processed by the Family Financial Needs Assessment (FNNA) organization. FNNA keeps the financial information confidential and provides an objective analysis of the grant amount for which a family qualifies. The Menno Simons Grant is funded through donations.

Who is a prospective family?
To be qualified as a prospective family there needs to be one child, or the potential for children to enroll at
Central Christian School.
